Position Overview: Alaris Health at St. Mary's is actively seeking dedicated Respiratory Therapists (RTs) for both full-time and part-time roles within our specialized ventilator management unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents' cardiopulmonary conditions through physical evaluations, history reviews, and relevant diagnostic tests to create effective respiratory care plans as directed by a physician.
- Administer and monitor various therapeutic modalities, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to departmental protocols, including but not limited to: positive pressure breathing, nebulization, chest physiotherapy, and tracheal suctioning.
- Oversee and maintain life support systems, ensuring optimal airway management and the functionality of mechanical ventilators.
- Document and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care interventions and make necessary adjustments based on resident responses.
- Provide technical respiratory care, including the correct administration of medications and operation of respiratory devices.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of respiratory equipment, ensuring cleanliness and operational readiness.
