This full-time role is essential in supporting major GNS programs, including the AF DCGS Network Infrastructure Transformation and the Global Command and Control System – Air Force Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Equipment Specialist, you will:

  • Conduct configuration management activities, applying logistics best practices and DoD guidelines.
  • Review and suggest modifications to program-specific specifications, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Maintain and update drawing packages for all modifications, ensuring accuracy and availability.
  • Provide technical analysis and support for field, depot, and modification program challenges.
  • Assist in the preparation of Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) to facilitate configuration changes.
  • Collaborate with Technical Content Managers to manage the publication and distribution of technical order changes.
  • Perform configuration management tasks, including managing deficiency reports and technical orders.
  • Generate performance metrics related to deficiency reports and technical orders.
  • Support the configuration control function, processing and tracking various change notices and reports.
  • Participate in audits and compliance checks, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.
  • Assist in transitioning to a digital technical order system.
  • Monitor and process parts listings for compliance with logistics requirements.
  • Provide integrated logistics support, including provisioning, maintenance data collection, and analysis of quality deficiency reports.
  • Conduct Logistics Supportability Analysis to ensure adequate part availability for repair capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of the work. Candidates should possess a High School Diploma with 16 years of relevant experience, including 8 years within the DoD. An active Secret security clearance is also required.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field with 10 years of experience in the technical discipline, or a Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD, is highly desirable.
