Job Summary
LKQ Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Dismantler Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Processing Department, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day activities in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Split drivetrains, including engines, transmissions, and transfer cases.
- Remove engine accessories, tag, and place them in assigned areas.
- Learn and apply engine dismantling techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and requirements to maintain a safe and hazard-free workplace.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
- Provide own tools for this position.
Requirements:
Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Background in body repair, mechanical, or previous dismantling experience is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Complete set of tools as needed to carry out duties. Ability to follow instructions, accept constructive feedback, and deal tactfully with customers, co-workers, and the public. Self-motivated, hard-working, and dependable individual with a strong focus on safety and adaptability.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Frequent sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving during working hours. Exposure to intense physical labor, repetitive lifting, and occasional inclement driving conditions. Ability to lift at least 50-75 pounds.
