Job Summary

The Advanced Worker is seeking an Electrical Design and Control Specialist to design, wire, troubleshoot and build custom equipment used in the manufacturing of company products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
  • Communicate with operators and leads to diagnose problems or implement improvements.
  • Design and develop electrical controls and drive systems.
  • Provide quotes for jobs and layout control panels and junction boxes.
  • Wire electrical controls and systems and program PLC, PC's, HMI's, VFD, etc.
  • Research replacement components and purchase them as needed.
  • Train operators and leads on new equipment release.
  • Handle confidential information and take on additional work assigned by the tool room Area/Shift leaders.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with at least 10 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience.
  • Familiarization with PLC programming and CAD software.
  • Possession of all basic tools and ability to understand and follow English instructions.
  • Demonstrated electrical design and troubleshooting skills, good basic math skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work flexible hours and overtime as required, including the use of computer and software as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending, squatting, twisting, and kneeling as needed.
  • Able to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
