Role Summary:
We are in search of a skilled Structural Engineer to become part of our client's workforce. The successful applicant will collaborate with seasoned engineers to assess and design an array of building structures. This role encompasses executing technical tasks such as structural analysis, designing structural components, preparing construction documentation, overseeing construction processes, and reviewing shop drawings. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grounding in engineering principles, proficiency in structural engineering software, and exceptional communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structural Design: Evaluate and create designs for structural components across various building types, including commercial, residential, and civic structures.
  • Technical Documentation: Generate construction documents, manage construction processes, and assess shop drawings to ensure precision and adherence to project specifications.
  • Project Collaboration: Partner closely with a team of engineers to deliver superior designs that fulfill client requirements and project timelines.
  • Software Utilization: Employ structural engineering software such as Bentley, RAM, Tekla, and BIM/Revit for project design and evaluation.
  • Client Interaction: Engage in discussions with clients and industry stakeholders, offering technical insights and ensuring project objectives are achieved.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of experience in structural design.
  • E.I.T. (Engineer in Training) certification.
  • Familiarity with structural engineering software such as Bentley, RAM, Tekla, and/or BIM/Revit.

Preferred & Other Qualifications:

  • P.E. certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience with BIM/Revit is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet project deadlines.
