Job Summary

Kodiak Gas Services, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the operation of compressor packages and equipment, including rentals, and will provide feedback for the development of the location's operating policies and material forecasts for assigned units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform job activities in a manner consistent with Kodiak's procedures/protocols, goals, and objectives.
  • Troubleshoot basic issues and consistently build troubleshooting skills through on-the-job training and classroom instruction.
  • Attend and participate in all HSE meetings and ensure adherence to all HSE protocols.
  • Analyze job parts and supply inventory to effectively communicate needs with the Supply Chain.
  • Maintain customer relationships and take corrective actions necessary to ensure guaranteed 98% or better mechanical availability of equipment.
  • Maintain assigned units in a clean and presentable condition.
  • Complete reports and actions required by the area's operating procedures/policies.
  • Provide 24/7 coverage and work overtime as required.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: OEM, Trade School, or comparable work experience in a related field/industry.
  • Successful completion of Kodiak's Short Service Employee (SSE) program.
  • Some knowledge of gas processes, mechanic of motor compressors (Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar, etc.).
  • 1-year compression process, production, and equipment-related experience and/or training.
  • Electrical Troubleshooting skills.

Working Conditions

The Field Service Technician will work in a high noise environment (greater than 85dbA) and will be required to wear all necessary PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, hard hats, face shields, hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.

The employee will also be required to frequently lift at least 10 pounds, infrequent lifting of greater than 50 pounds, and will work in outdoor conditions, including extreme heat and extreme cold.

The employee will be required to move and maintain themselves in different positions, including stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.

The employee will also be required to frequently type and use computer and other office equipment, such as a copier, printer, calendar, telephone, etc.
