Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pulmonology Physician to provide comprehensive, efficient, and compassionate healthcare to all patients at the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION. As a Pulmonology Physician, you will function as a member of the inter-disciplinary team providing clinical care to patients in an inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical evaluation and direct overall management of patients in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Supervise and educate Internal Medicine Residents and medical students from the University of Nevada, School of Medicine.
  • Participate in an effective clinical program with attention to patient outcome indicators.
  • Practice within the scope of assigned privileges.
  • Comply with the bylaws, rules, and regulations of the facility and agency.
  • Meet medical staff criteria for initial appointment and reappointment, including ongoing CME.
Requirements
  • United States Citizenship.
  • Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Board certified or eligible in Pulmonary/Critical Care.
