We are seeking a skilled Pulmonology Physician to provide comprehensive, efficient, and compassionate healthcare to all patients at the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION. As a Pulmonology Physician, you will function as a member of the inter-disciplinary team providing clinical care to patients in an inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical evaluation and direct overall management of patients in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.
- Supervise and educate Internal Medicine Residents and medical students from the University of Nevada, School of Medicine.
- Participate in an effective clinical program with attention to patient outcome indicators.
- Practice within the scope of assigned privileges.
- Comply with the bylaws, rules, and regulations of the facility and agency.
- Meet medical staff criteria for initial appointment and reappointment, including ongoing CME.
- United States Citizenship.
- Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Board certified or eligible in Pulmonary/Critical Care.

- Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
- CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification).
- Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided.
- No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting.
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM. The VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide high-quality patient care in a variety of settings.
