Job Overview

The Produce Processing Team Associate is responsible for preparing products and packaging in accordance with customer requirements while adhering to company policies regarding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities


• Ensure cleanliness of the workspace, equipment, and personal hygiene.

• Accurately prepare, weigh, and load products.

• Rework and open products as necessary.

• Collect, review, and apply necessary labels and packaging materials.

• Assemble and pack boxes according to order specifications.

• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet customer packaging standards.

• Communicate effectively with line personnel regarding order specifications and quality concerns.

• Palletize finished products.

• Document production data accurately.

• Address safety issues with line personnel.

• Utilize downtime productively.

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures in all tasks.

• Strive to exceed customer expectations in product quality and value by following the Safe Quality Food Program guidelines.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications


• High School diploma or GED is required.

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment is preferred.

• Ability to make decisions based on established practices.

• Proficient in reading production reports and understanding worksheets.

• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Preferred Skills


• Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork.

• Basic computer literacy.

Work Environment


• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; bend and flex the neck; frequently grip, reach, lift, and pull with both hands.

• Capable of handling materials from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, and pushing, pulling, or carrying items.

• Personal protective equipment such as hair nets, ear protection, hard hats, and safety glasses may be required.

• Work involves repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production setting with temperatures ranging from 40 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

• Ability to lift products weighing up to 50 lbs.
