Job Description

The Department Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a department within the company. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and guide team members to achieve departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management: Supervise and manage a team of staff, including Project Managers, Engineers, Scientists, Analysts, Designers, Technicians, and support staff.
  • Departmental Coordination: Coordinate departmental activities to ensure that individual and department goals are met.
  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of departmental projects.
  • Client Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with clients and potential clients.
  • Marketing: Assist in developing client proposals and input, monitor, and update marketing opportunities.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that projects meet company, industry, and client standards and expectations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Architecture, Management, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Registration: May require registration as a Florida Professional Engineer, Geologist, or Architect.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience, preferably in a consulting or related field, with a minimum of 3 years of successful project management experience.
