Psychiatrist IV

Join the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services as a Psychiatrist IV and contribute to the delivery of high-quality psychiatric services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Psychiatrist IV will provide advanced psychiatric care, including diagnosis, treatment, and medication management, under the supervision of the SSLC Medical Director. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the highest level of care and quality of life for our residents.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose and treat mental health conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and behavioral interventions.
• Collaborate with the IDT to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including training and education on psychiatric care and treatment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
• Stay current with research and best practices in psychiatric care and treatment.

• Doctoral degree in Psychiatry or related field.
• Current licensure to practice psychiatry in the state of Texas.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
