Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our medication order system. Responsibilities- Triage and interpret medication orders, ensuring accuracy and productivity standards are met
- Perform drug calculations, including basic mathematical calculations, to ensure accurate medication dosages
- Resolve issues related to denied claims and follow up on pending claims in our Point of Sale system
- Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes
- Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up
- Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers, adhering to company values
- Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist
- Perform other tasks as assigned, including assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed by management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy-related experience
- Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer
- Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations and business needs
- Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, team player, customer service, and oral communication skills
