Pipefitter Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter Specialist to join our team at Wayne Brothers Companies. As a Pipefitter Specialist, you will be responsible for reading, analyzing, and building piping systems from construction or fabrication drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reading and analyzing construction or fabrication drawings to understand piping system requirements
• Building and installing piping systems, including cutting and preparing materials for welding
• Performing proper fit-up of multi-axis piping spools to ensure tolerances are maintained after welding
• Generating legible isometric drawings and performing system layout
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pipefitting or equivalent/similar trade
• Basic level communication skills, including reading, writing, and comprehending technical documents
• Safety awareness and ability to recognize and correct safety hazards
• Basic level mathematics skills, including order of operations using fractions and decimals
• Entry-level planning and organizing skills, including ability to plan daily work schedule and communicate objectives to coworkers

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to moderate and high noise levels
• Exposure to working above ground level, including ladders, rooftops, bucket trucks, scaffolding, etc.
• Heavy physical activity, including kneeling, bending, crawling, climbing, and balancing
• Extended durations of walking and standing on varying surfaces

Certifications and Licenses:

• Valid Driver's License
• Preferred OSHA 10 Hour Certification
• Required; training provided by Wayne Brothers Aerial lift and forklift certification

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and/or be on feet for 10 hours a day
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to go up/down steps, ladders, and other lifts as needed
