Health and Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Senior Coordinator to join our team at Pro-Vac LLC in Manassas, Virginia. As a key member of our Health and Safety Team, you will play a pivotal role in championing onsite safety, preventing injuries, ensuring training and regulatory compliance, and cultivating a strong safety culture within the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Actively participate as a member of the Health and Safety Team, contributing to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety and health management systems and programs throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement, share best practices, and drive collective efforts to enhance safety culture and performance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Health and Safety Programs in alignment with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Conduct safety audits, equipment inspections, and incident reporting to ensure compliance with OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
- Lead the development and implementation of safety training programs, including new hire orientation and ongoing training for employees.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend safety-sensitive equipment and technologies to enhance workplace safety.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify safety training needs and develop tailored training programs.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and develop corrective action plans for organizational performance based on safety metrics and employee feedback.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in industrial/rail car cleaning, hazardous chemicals, and/or emergency response.
- OSHA 500 certification preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications, including Samsara, KPA, and Avatar Fleet.
- Demonstrated physical fitness and agility to work at heights and perform climbing activities safely.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field (preferred).
- An annual pay range of $80,000-$100,000, based on relevant experience.
