Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Database Systems Specialist to join our team at Omm IT Solutions. This is a critical role that requires expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale database systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement database systems for mission-critical applications using Microsoft SQL Server 2012+
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of databases through proper configuration, backup, and restore processes
  • Implement data archiving and retrieval mechanisms to meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts for automating day-to-day tasks and improving database efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database systems with cloud-based solutions and data warehouses
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree may be substituted for experience
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise RDBMS database administration with large-scale applications
  • Advanced knowledge of AlwaysOn, Transactional Replication, Clustering, and T-SQL
  • Experience with implementing database upgrades, managing backups, and securing database servers
  • Scripting skills in Shell script and Power shell for automating tasks
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, ETL data warehouse architecture, and CDC tools & replication
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with T SQL scripts and Batches
  • Knowledge on No SQL databases like Cosmos DB or Mongo DB
  • Hands-on experience with software and services such as SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Power Shell, Azure cloud, CI CD, and more
Estimated Salary:

$140,000 - $180,000 per year based on location and experience
