Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hospitalist Physician to join our team at Stony Brook University Hospital. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the academic mission of our institution.

As a Hospital Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with acute medical conditions, working closely with residents, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.

• Provide high-quality patient care to patients with acute medical conditions
• Collaborate with residents, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures
• Engage in educational activities, including teaching and mentoring residents and medical students
• Contribute to the development of clinical research projects and participate in peer-reviewed publications

• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
• Completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to quality improvement and patient safety
