We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Clinician - Youth Advocate to join our team at the National Youth Advocate Program. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to vulnerable youth and their families, promoting their well-being and success.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual, group, and family mental health services to minors and families, meeting or exceeding established outcomes thresholds.
- Conduct risk assessments, behavior management assessments, safety/crisis plans, individual service plans, and other assessments and plans for the youth.
- Review and update documents, assessments, and plans with foster parents and sponsor families.
- Travel to foster family and sponsor homes to provide in-home services to minors and families.
- Coordinate and monitor services for minors and families in the community, including medical, educational, psychological, and social services.
- Screen for human trafficking concerns and provide crisis intervention services.
- Assist in placement efforts with minors' sponsor or other permanent living arrangement consistent with the minors' case plans.
- Master's degree in social work with clinical experience in the program and must be licensed or eligible for licensure; OR bachelor's degree plus 5 years clinical employment experience and must be licensed or eligible for licensure (if the state does not offer a license for bachelor degrees, this is not an option).
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required to serve the children and families.
- Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal customers.
- Capacity to remain objective and professional in all areas of job function.
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, internet search, people management programs, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
The National Youth Advocate Program has been serving communities and clients since 1978 and continues to grow each year. Our growth allows us to expand and develop new and innovative programs to meet the ever-changing needs of those we serve. We offer unique and personalized services for families and individuals in four areas: Prevention/Intervention, Positive Youth Development, Out-of-Home-Placement, and Reunification/Permanency.
