Job Description

As a Small Arms/Artillery Repairer in the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining the electronic systems that keep our weapons firing for the Army National Guard. Your main responsibility will be to repair and maintain electronic and mechanical systems, ensuring that our equipment is in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain electronic and mechanical systems, including electronic and mechanical test equipment
  • Operate and maintain electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment
  • Understand and apply electronic and mechanical principles and concepts
Requirements
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Must meet citizenship requirements

Training and Education

Job training for Small Arms/Artillery Repairers consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Training consists of both classroom and field work.
