At One Hope United, we are seeking a skilled Counseling Therapist Senior to join our team. As a key member of our residential treatment program, you will work with clients to alleviate or stabilize mental health symptoms and provide therapeutic services to individuals, families, or groups.

About the Role

The Counseling Therapist Senior will be responsible for developing assessment and treatment planning for clients, providing clinical direction to a residential home team, and facilitating clinical meetings and team meetings. You will also integrate all services provided, serving as a central point of communication for mental health-related services, supportive services, treatment, and counseling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining High Ethical Standards: Uphold the highest ethical standards in keeping with professional affiliations and demonstrate the ability to perform strength-oriented practice.
  • Clinical Direction: Provide clinical direction to a residential home team, facilitating clinical meetings, participating in clinical staffings, and team meetings.
  • Integrating Services: Integrate all services provided, serving as a central point of communication for mental health-related services, supportive services, treatment, and counseling.
  • Therapeutic Treatment: Plan and administer therapeutic treatment to youth, regularly discussing progress toward goals with clients and encouraging client feedback and client ownership of outcomes.
  • Training and Coaching: Offer coaching, informal, and formal training to residential staff.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete accurate and timely documentation of clinical and case management services provided to youth on a daily basis, as well as completes transition and aftercare as prescribed by the DCF Transition/Aftercare Protocol.
  • Collaboration and Representation: Ensure there is a medical rule out of symptoms and coordinates the approach with medical and other providers serving the client, provides internal and external trainings as requested, and represents OHU at court hearings, meetings, Annual Case Reviews, Child and Family Team Meetings, and any other collaborative meetings on behalf of youth and families.
  • Trauma-Informed and Evidence-Based Practice: Adheres to Trauma-Informed, Evidence-Based Program.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Performs on-call responsibilities on residential campus.
  • Confidentiality: Treats all information concerning the program as confidential.
Qualifications

We are seeking an individual with a strong background in counseling, social work, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field and be licensed or eligible for licensure. At least one year of related experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements

The Counseling Therapist Senior must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record with OHU required levels of coverage for auto insurance.
