About the Role:

This position calls for a skilled Frontend Engineer to help guide the advancement of our systems. You will work closely with our engineering team to build and sustain our internal Content Management System (CMS), a vital element for managing live events.

Your responsibilities will include delivering high-performance solutions to meet the needs of our rapidly growing platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining scalable and resilient frontend applications utilizing React, TypeScript, and other contemporary JavaScript technologies.
  • Collaborating with designers, product owners, and stakeholders to define and validate visual requirements, user workflows, and UI prototypes.
  • Working alongside UI engineers to enhance, evolve, and modernize our existing video encoding platforms.
  • Creating reusable, efficient, and accessible UI components in accordance with design specifications.
  • Integrating with backend services using GraphQL or REST APIs.
  • Proactively influencing future innovations by staying updated on the latest and most effective UI technology trends.
  • Promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork among engineers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in frontend engineering.
  • Proficient in JavaScript / ES6 / TypeScript with a strong grasp of fundamental JavaScript concepts and extensive knowledge of ES6, along with familiarity with TypeScript and its advantages.
  • Experience with CSS, CSS pre-processors like SASS / LESS, and frameworks such as Bootstrap or Material-UI.
  • Understanding of modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL/NodeJS, RESTful APIs, and modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
  • Experience with server-side rendering frameworks.

Performance Optimization:

Capability to optimize components for maximum performance across web-capable devices and browsers.
Accessibility and Testing: Awareness of accessible front-end design and user testing, along with knowledge of testing libraries (like Jest, Enzyme, or React Testing Library).

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to collaborate within a team, comprehend specifications, and clearly articulate issues.
  • Familiarity with technical writing and design documentation.
  • Knowledge of container technology and management such as Docker and Kubernetes.
