Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our Adult Liver Transplant Program at the University of Miami Health System. As a key member of our transplant team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes, advancing our program's growth and excellence, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement transplant policies, protocols, and practice guidelines for the Adult Liver Transplant Program.
- Collaborate with the Medical and Surgical Director to establish program goals and objectives, and ensure alignment with hospital and departmental priorities.
- Lead efforts to develop and maintain a high-quality outpatient clinical program for liver transplant patients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary pre-transplant selection committee meetings and contribute to the development of practice guidelines, policies, and methodologies for medical care of liver transplant patients.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and insurance companies, and participate in site reviews as needed.
- Promote research activity within the specialty and enhance clinical and academic endeavors.
- Organize, direct, and implement departmental practices to ensure continued compliance with applicable laws and guidelines.
- Board certification in Medicine with a completed fellowship in Hepatology and transplant experience.
- Member in good standing of the hospital staff.
- Currently licensed to practice in Florida.
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience in Transplantation.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to accept and implement change.
