We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our Orthopedic Spine and Pain Clinic team in Appleton, Wisconsin. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional patient-centered care, working collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-focused services.
Key Responsibilities- Receives and executes orders from supervising physicians or advanced practice clinicians, ensuring timely and accurate patient care.
- Rooms patients, obtains and documents vital signs, and prepares patients for examination, providing a seamless experience.
- Assists in meeting the care needs of patients, collaborating with the care team to ensure quality, cost-effective, and safe patient care practices.
- Reinforces patient education to improve care outcomes and safe patient practices, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Assists providers and RNs in performing and documenting tests and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Valid certification or registration through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) or National Healthcare Association (NHA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or a valid State of Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse license.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
This role requires frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments, occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. Standing and/or walking for extended periods are also required, as well as transporting patients and/or equipment from one location to another.
