Travel Mammography Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in Atlanta, GA.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures in a physician office, clinic, or hospital setting. This is a 13-week contract position with a competitive pay package and benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to ensure correct exam is performed and establish rapport.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, adhering to safety requirements and infection-control protocols.
  • Work with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment.
  • Obtain and verify relevant documentation, including patient history and consent forms.
Requirements
  • Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
  • BSN from accredited nursing program and proper licensure.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
