Position OverviewAs a Sourcing Analyst at Dorman Products, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Procurement Department and Cross Functional Teams. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure effective sourcing strategies and decisions are executed with appropriate oversight.
Key Responsibilities- Design and oversee strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing Supplier performance through corrective actions and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Assist in the implementation of a Supplier Relationship Management program to facilitate all supplier interactions, ensuring alignment with corporate and product objectives.
- Provide timely and clear communication, advising management on critical issues while offering potential solutions for designated categories and projects.
- Actively participate as a member of cross-functional teams, contributing to the successful achievement of team goals and objectives.
- Maintain and update progress reports, delivering analyses of projects as required by the Procurement and/or Cross Functional Teams.
- Ensure accurate system data management through established team and functional processes.
- Achieve cost reduction targets and execute strategic sourcing initiatives effectively.
- Evaluate and recommend suppliers to support new product development and cost-saving efforts.
- Identify and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, service, and quality, utilizing market trends and commodity insights.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships to meet Corporate Goals, including Fill Rate, Inventory reductions, Cost savings, and Sales.
- Ensure the successful execution of sourcing strategies and tactics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and resourceful, with strong teamwork capabilities.
- Ability to initiate and communicate effectively to resolve internal and external issues.
- Skilled in managing and analyzing large datasets.
- Ability to integrate into the cultural environment of a global supply base.
- Strong networking skills within a cross-functional setting.
- Commitment to ethical business practices and unbiased decision-making.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Experience with SAP and Business Objects.
- Background in Automotive or Electronics.
- Physical capability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to perform tasks that require reaching, carrying, and effective communication.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a business or military office environment.
