Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Plating Operator to join our team at Leading Machining Manufacturer. This role involves working closely with Department Leads to complete tasks and prioritize work.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of plating / processing in accordance with Military and OEM specifications. They will be responsible for preparing parts prior to operations, including mechanical or chemical cleaning, and following safety precautions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with experienced colleagues to achieve departmental goals.
  • Fully understand and follow technique cards, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions.
  • Review paperwork for errors and notify supervisors and Quality Assurance as necessary.
  • Clean and prepare parts using proper tooling and fixtures.
  • Ensure compliance with pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
  • Understand Quality Assurance requirements and rework procedures.
  • Recognize and follow engineering drawing notations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the working area.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as part of a team, and with customers (internal and external).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Regular and dependable attendance is essential.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, and perform basic math calculations.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. An export license may be required for certain areas within the facility.
