Telecommunications Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at Brighton Broadband Inc. As a Field Operations Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and small business services. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have experience in fiber to the home (FTTH) network construction and/or fiber network deployments. They should be proficient in fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and physical layer components of networking infrastructure. Additionally, they should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair residential and small business services, including wired and wireless connections.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to outside plant (OSP) network connectivity, inside wiring, powering systems, and network devices.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues and external customers to ensure seamless communication and effective issue resolution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in telecommunications or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic technology, including FTTH and GPON networks.
• Experience with OTDR testing, fiber splicing, and physical layer components of networking infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Compensation: $70,000 per year, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
