Job Summary

The Fitness Manager is a key role that promotes our Team Training and Group Exercise programs by building a skilled team of fitness professionals who provide a welcoming culture and excellent workouts. As the Fitness representative to members, club staff, coaches, and instructors, the Fitness Manager communicates effectively, listens to details, is persistent with follow-through, and solves problems proactively for the department.

Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a team of fitness professionals who provide excellent workouts and a friendly culture.
  • Communicate effectively with members, club staff, coaches, and instructors to promote our programs and services.
  • Problem-solve proactively to ensure the department runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve program participation and member engagement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent member experiences.

  • Full-time employees receive additional benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401K eligibility after one year of employment, and paid vacation.
  • Pay range: $44,400 - $55,500 depending on experience and education.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Bachelor's degree or currently continuing education preferred
  • Certified Personal Trainer, Nationally Recognized Group Fitness Certification, 2+ years teaching experience
  • CPR/First Aid training within the first 60 days of employment
  • 1+ years of management experience or equivalent industry work
  • Leadership skills that motivate and cultivate a team
  • People skills by displaying compassion and empathy with a positive and approachable attitude
  • Exceptional verbal and social communication skills
  • Organized, accountable, able to set and reach goals
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
