Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering personalized, goal-oriented nursing care by utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the principles of primary nursing in line with departmental and institutional policies.
Key Responsibilities:
This role involves supporting physicians in various patient-related tasks, which include:
- Continuous EKG monitoring
- Administering medications
- Managing IVs and oxygen therapy
- Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation
The Registered Nurse operates under general supervision and is accountable for different shifts. This position may require working over 40 hours per week and being available for callback as necessary. Additionally, the nurse may need to remain on campus during severe weather conditions or emergencies.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- ASN degree or Nursing Diploma is mandatory.
- A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience is essential.
- Current RN licensure in Florida is required, along with BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Completion of NIH training within 90 days of employment or transfer.
- Obtaining RCIS, RCES, NASPE certification, CCRN, CNOR, or CEN within 18 months of hire or transfer is necessary.
- Demonstrated proficiency in critical care nursing, with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills.
