Senior Blaster

Austin Powder is seeking a highly skilled Senior Blaster to manage location assets and personnel at the customer site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blasting operations and be certified by Austin Powder Company.

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by complying with MSHA, OSHA, ATF, & DOT regulations.
• Review drill patterns and diagrams to determine product and shot layout necessary to meet customer needs.
• Supervise personnel at the customer site/blast area and build rapport with the current customer base.
• Communicate blast details with all personnel on job site and perform duties necessary to prepare and detonate shot.
• Conduct Pre/Post Shot Safety Audit at every shot service event and complete necessary event paperwork/shot report documentation.

• Must be 21 years old and possess a high school or equivalent degree.
• Must be certified by Austin Powder Company and possess a State Blaster's License.
• CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsements is preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years certified blasting experience.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
