The anticipated salary range for this position is between $130,500 and $145,000, contingent upon experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and 401(k) contributions.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role requires a high level of expertise and in-depth knowledge in executing tasks related to the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and proposed enhancement of nuclear operations training programs specific to plant requirements.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Enhances station and personnel performance through targeted training initiatives. Organizes and delivers performance-based training programs, both licensed and non-licensed, as dictated by the user community, adhering to Constellation's training model and departmental protocols.
- Ensures training programs remain up-to-date, integrating insights from industry reports, regulatory updates, and operational changes.
- Designs trainee assessments and conducts evaluations across various environments, including classroom, laboratory, on-the-job training, and simulation, while providing guidance and recommending tailored training plans.
- Assists in business initiatives, project management, refueling support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
- Engages in audits conducted by regulatory bodies and prepares responses to findings.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of plant operations and relevant skills to develop and deliver effective, high-quality training.
- Oversees the collection and maintenance of verifiable training records and documentation necessary for training program activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Current or previous senior reactor operator license OR
- Previous reactor operator experience with a minimum of 4 years in the industry (must obtain senior reactor operator certification within 18 months) OR
- Senior reactor operator certification with at least 4 years of industry experience and 6 months of demonstrated teaching experience in licensed operator training or instructor-led training.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as science, engineering, or education/training.
- Current or previous senior reactor operator license OR
- Senior reactor operator certification with a minimum of 6 years of industry experience and 6 months of proven teaching experience in licensed operator training or instructor-led training.
