We're seeking a highly motivated and performance-driven Staff Embedded Software Architect to join our expanding Research & Development Architecture team.

This individual will be responsible for making significant contributions to software project initiatives associated with product development and improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a wide range of experience and skills, with the ability to apply them in the development of well-designed and well-tested code.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and documenting embedded system software for new and existing Insulet products.

The successful candidate will exercise judgment in selecting tools, methods, and techniques for obtaining results and will work collaboratively with other architects, software, software QA, and hardware engineers to design, integrate, debug, and test systems.

Additional responsibilities include participating in product design reviews, supporting automation software test needs, and performing other duties as required.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent work experience, a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, and demonstrated working knowledge of software design.

Preferred qualifications include experience developing software for embedded microcontrollers, knowledge of I2C, SPI, Flash, EEPROM, and/or USB, familiarity with communication systems and/or wireless protocols, and familiarity with UML/SysML and Catia NoMagic Modeling tools.

Strong programming skills in C++/C/ARM Assembly language are an absolute requirement, as well as hands-on experience with Embedded Systems and experience with processors like ARM, TI, and MSP.

The ideal candidate will also have strength in applying OO concepts and principles, such as polymorphism, SRP, SOC, IOC (DIP), and SAP, and will be able to work collaboratively with minimum supervision.

Additional skills and qualifications include effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate with candor and trust at multiple levels of the organization, and demonstrated abilities to leverage creativity to overcome obstacles and work with a sense of urgency.

We offer a competitive salary range of $143,000 to $215,000, depending on location and experience, and a hybrid working arrangement that requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least 1x/week and may work remotely other days.
