Job Title: Commercial Roofing Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to join our team at Tecta America Zero Company LLC in Hopelawn, NJ.

Job Summary:

The Commercial Roofing Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing roofing service and maintenance crews, collaborating with supervisors and estimators to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and retain a dependable and knowledgeable maintenance workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instructs best practices for roofing service, inspection, and maintenance through on-the-job training and manufacturer training.
  • Trains employees on safety procedures and safety equipment.
  • Utilizes proper roofing materials and equipment.
  • Teaches terminology of roofing materials, tools, and equipment and proper use.
  • Plans, administers, and participates as instructor in company-sponsored education programs for new hires and developing roof technicians.
  • Recruits, trains, mentors, and retains a dependable and knowledgeable maintenance workforce.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
