Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite, prioritizing their comfort and safety.
  • Position patients according to the type of surgery, demonstrating expertise in patient care and positioning.
  • Prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to the type of case, adhering to hospital protocols and standards.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless execution of surgical procedures, maintaining open communication and a positive attitude.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized Operating Room, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Participate in team planning and execution, contributing to the success of surgical procedures and patient care.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of the Surgical Technology program required.
  • 2 or more years of experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certification of Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required.
