Job Title: Assistant Baker

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Baker in following proprietary recipes and production methods to achieve productivity goals.
  • Effectively utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers, and ovens to bake cakes.
  • Prepare raw ingredients and equipment for baking, and assist with daily baking and production flow.
  • Adhere to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes, as well as product rotation standards.
  • Clean, sanitize, and restock the workstation, and assist the Baker in maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.

Requirements:
  • Ability to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
  • Understanding of basic units of measurement used in the U.S.
  • Ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks that require strength to lift items of moderate to heavyweight, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate commercial-grade ovens and other bakery equipment, and work adjacent to a high-heat source.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to strictly adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards.
  • Diligence, organization, and self-motivation, with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
Work Availability:

Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on changing business demands.
