Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at West Suburban Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine diagnostic services daily, obtaining high-quality images, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine diagnostic services, including positioning, immobilizing, and scanning patients according to established protocols.
  • Formulate questions to determine patient history and process for quality outcome, making judgments based on collected data.
  • Develop and implement plans of care for each individual patient, evaluating scan results for consistent technical quality.
  • Prepare examination rooms, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment, and initiating work and supply orders.
  • Assist with scheduling patients, providing age-appropriate explanations of procedures, and documenting data on appropriate forms.
  • Ensure patient, coworker, and property safety, maintaining confidential information, and participating in annual reviews.
  • Stay up-to-date with clinical knowledge, skills, and organizational policies, actively participating in QA & I processes.
Requirements
  • Completion of an Allied Health Education and an AMA-approved program in Radiology.
  • Current ARRT certification or NMTCB, and IEMA licensure (or Registry eligible with certification within one year of hire).
  • Prefer one year of Nuclear Medicine experience or related work scope.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information.
