Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room for scheduled surgeries, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Maintain a sterile field and assist the surgical team during procedures.
  • Document patient care using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Assist in the orientation of new staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.

Located in Baltimore's cultural center near the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, our 180-bed, community teaching hospital focuses on helping people manage chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, pulmonary conditions, and infectious diseases.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of operating room experience.
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems (EPIC).
  • Excellent sterile technique and infection control practices.
  • The physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move equipment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed (PRN basis).
