Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating a child-centered environment that promotes learning, character development, and healthy living.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities and programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, demonstrating respect, responsibility, caring, and honesty.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related college coursework or experience in childcare, education, or recreation preferred.
  • Ability to establish constructive relationships and interact as a positive role model for youth and staff.
  • Commitment to the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago's mission and values.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to present ideas and concepts clearly.
