As a Behavioral Health Intake Therapist at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to individuals seeking mental health services. Your expertise will be instrumental in conducting thorough assessments, facilitating admissions, and ensuring seamless transitions to appropriate levels of care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions, including telehealth assessments.
- Provide admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients, responding to telephone inquiries and facilitating admission processes.
- Coordinate transportation and referrals to other facilities or lower levels of care as needed.
- Document calls and related admission information, and staff crisis hotline as required.
- Verify insurance coverage and prior authorization for payor requirements.
- Master's degree in Behavioral Health or a related field.
