Job Title: Shelter Driver

Come drive for an amazing non-profit organization and support King County Youth in need. As a shuttle driver, you will be playing an integral part in supporting the youth we serve.

Job Summary:

The Shelter Driver will be responsible for transporting clients between our Kirkland program location and the local transit center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport clients safely back and forth between our Kirkland program location and the local transit center.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have in a polite and professional manner.
  • Determine the best routes to avoid heavy traffic or accidents to ensure timely arrival and departure at destinations.
  • Track mileage and repair records.
  • Keep the vehicle fueled at all times.
  • Use care, caution, common sense, and courtesy while driving agency vehicles.
  • Follow all federal, state, and city traffic laws and regulations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of the shuttle vehicle.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Immediately report any vehicle maintenance needs to the supervisor.
  • Arrange for vehicle repairs and routine maintenance as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
  • Experience driving a shuttle bus, box truck, or other larger vehicle.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and TB test.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
