Job Summary
College of DuPage is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to develop and teach new courses in Continuing Education. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for creating engaging and relevant course content, teaching adult learners, and evaluating student progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and teach new courses in Continuing Education, focusing on personal enrichment and career development topics
- Design and deliver high-quality course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments
- Evaluate student learning and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in teaching and learning
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in the field and/or a combination of education, training, and tested experience
- Minimum two years' experience teaching to adults
- Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred
- Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in the field or related field
- Experience in curriculum development and instructional design
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices
