Position Overview

Firetrol Protection Systems is seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Project Coordinator to oversee our sprinkler installation projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management and fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Direct the scheduling and execution of sprinkler projects, ensuring timelines are adhered to.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with general contractors and clients to meet project milestones.
  • Design Review: Conduct thorough evaluations of design drawings prior to fabrication.
  • Submittal Verification: Assess submittals for compliance with engineering specifications and spatial constraints.
  • Material Management: Generate fabrication lists and procure necessary materials for project completion.
  • Permitting Coordination: Manage the permitting process with local authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Site Engagement: Participate in project meetings and conduct site surveys as required.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets and identify potential cost-saving measures.
  • Documentation: Review time cards and document any discrepancies or unclear directives affecting project execution.
  • Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with field supervisors throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management.
  • Ability to obtain CSA2 certification within 90 days if expired.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 13, NFPA 20, NFPA 25, and FM Global Standards.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, including Wet, Dry, Preaction, and Deluge types.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
