Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Probation Officer to join our team at the Illinois Northern Probation Office. As a Probation Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring public safety and providing support to individuals on probation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular meetings with probationers to monitor their progress and provide guidance and support.
  • Develop and implement individualized case plans to address the unique needs and circumstances of each probationer.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, social service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to probation services.
  • Conduct home visits and other site visits to monitor probationers' compliance with court orders and conditions of probation.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the court and other stakeholders as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least one year of specialized experience in a field related to probation or law enforcement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license.
