Job Summary
We're seeking a dynamic Traffic Design Engineer to join our growing Pennsylvania offices.
As a technical resource on our Traffic and Planning team, you'll be responsible for designing and developing traffic plans, including signing, pavement marking, signal, lighting, temporary traffic control, and intelligent transportation system (ITS) plans.
You'll work closely with junior staff and technicians to ensure high-quality plan development and support Project Managers with proposal development, project delivery, and financial monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop traffic plans, including signing, pavement marking, signal, lighting, temporary traffic control, and ITS plans
- Work closely with junior staff and technicians to ensure high-quality plan development
- Support Project Managers with proposal development, project delivery, and financial monitoring
- Collaborate with regional offices in West Virginia and Ohio on similar traffic design projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Master's degree preferred
- 8 years' experience related to traffic design
- PE required
- Working knowledge of PennDOT and PTC standards, specifications, and plan preparation
- Computer skills using Microsoft office, ProjectWise, SignCAD, and ORD
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task while working on several projects at once
