Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced electrician to install electrical systems in commercial construction markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for direct supervision and coordination of assigned helper/apprentice electricians, promoting excellent customer relations, and ensuring compliance with national and local codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical systems in commercial construction markets, adhering to national and local codes.
  • Supervise and coordinate assigned helper/apprentice electricians on a per-job basis.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships, determining customer needs, and providing solutions.
  • Apply basic electrical and construction principles to solve design, development, and modification problems.
  • Complete work in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with loading materials, digging trenches, pulling wire through conduit, and other tasks as needed.
  • Treat all customers, trades personnel, vendors, and fellow workers with dignity and respect.
  • Keep job sites clean and clutter-free.
  • Complete paperwork, including timecards, and submit as required.
  • Adhere to and enforce the safety policy, program, and training of Lane Valente Industries.
  • Troubleshoot common electrical systems, including services, feeders, and branch circuits.
  • Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
  • Splice wires, connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment, and install control and distribution apparatus.
  • Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads.
  • Observe the functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Repair faulty equipment or systems.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • 4 years' experience in electrical project installations.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Electrician's hand tools.
  • Ability to work with hands and multi-task.
  • Advanced electrical knowledge.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator's license and clear driving record.
  • Applicable state certification.
