We are seeking a skilled Wound Care Physician to join our team at AmeriWound in Riverside, CA.
Job Summary:AmeriWound is a leading provider of wound care services in long-term care facilities. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Wound Care Physician to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to our team's success.
Responsibilities:- Round weekly at assigned facilities within the territory to assess patient conditions and provide wound care services.
- Diagnose patient conditions via physical examination and/or telemedicine, and develop treatment plans to promote wound healing.
- Perform medical procedures, such as debridement, as necessary, and communicate findings and treatments with facility clinical staff.
- Document each patient encounter in the EMR system and maintain accurate patient medical records.
- Collaborate with facility staff to ensure seamless patient care and facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed.
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification or board eligibility in a relevant specialty.
- Active, unrestricted state medical license.
- DEA license.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with facility staff and patients.
- Uncapped W-2 earning potential, directly proportionate to provider availability, EMR documentation, and patient volume.
- Company-provided instruments, such as debridement kits and hurricane spray.
- Wound care/treatment nurse to round with at each facility.
- Company laptop provided with EMR Aprima.
- Malpractice insurance for full- and part-time providers.
- Mileage reimbursement based on standard IRS guidelines.
- 5 CME credits for full-time providers.
- Health benefits for full-time providers.
