Our Expectations:

  • Aligned with our mission to enhance the lives of our Residents, the Charge Nurse (RN/LPN) plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service and nursing care to all Residents within the designated unit and throughout the facility.
  • The Charge Nurse (RN/LPN) supports the Director of Nursing, Unit Managers, and/or the Assistant Director of Nursing in the planning, development, and overall management of the assigned unit, ensuring that Residents receive quality care around the clock.
  • Evaluate Residents' conditions to implement interventions and formulate Care Plans. Accurately document Residents' observations and ensure adherence to medical records policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular assessments of Residents, both independently and in collaboration with a physician; monitor and assess Residents' symptoms, progress, and responses to treatments and medications, implementing necessary interventions.
  • Deliver preventative, supportive, maintenance, and rehabilitative care tailored to the physiological and psychosocial needs of Residents.
  • Administer care to Residents through various treatments, including dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, and other medical procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current state license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • CPR certification is mandatory.
  • One year of professional nursing experience in a long-term care environment is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with relevant state nursing regulations is advantageous.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations applicable to nursing practice in a long-term care setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with a knack for prioritizing tasks.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical scenarios.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
