Key Responsibilities- Oversee maintenance operations for a commercial baking facility, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production levels.
- Analyze and solve complex technical maintenance issues, leveraging your expertise in mechanical, refrigeration, electrical, and building maintenance.
- Lead the achievement of a zero-injury workplace by implementing and enforcing safety protocols, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement plant maintenance programs to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
- Manage and develop a team of maintenance associates, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure their success.
- Identify, implement, and manage capital improvement projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.
- Conduct performance appraisals of the maintenance management team, recommending and implementing training programs to address developmental needs.
- Administer and audit maintenance safety control programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop technical training programs for maintenance supervision and mechanics, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
- Develop short- and long-term planning, objectives, programs, and goals, as well as department budget and cost controls.
- Manage and achieve set goals for the management of the MRO system and processes.
- Associates degree or technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical crafts preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years of maintenance supervisor experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, refrigeration, electrical, and building maintenance.
- Highly organized with project management experience.
- Dependable, flexible, and self-motivated.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Training/Other knowledge in Mechanical Crafts.
- Supervise and motivate maintenance associates in a team-based environment.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal and external organizations verbally and in writing.
- Read and process written information with a high degree of accuracy.
- Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service.
- Good English communication skills (both written and oral). Bi-lingual is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Possess the highest possible standard of ethics.
- Demonstrate good organizational and time management skills.
- Take initiatives and be self-motivated; looking for opportunities to improve plant maintenance procedures.
- Use systematic methods to collect facts and make decisions.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of a regulatory compliance sanitation system.
