Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hair Stylist to join our team at SmartStyle Hair Salon. As a key member of our salon team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair styling services to our clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty to our salon.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality hair styling services, including consultations, cuts, colors, and styling, to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Educate clients on hair care and maintenance, recommending products and services to enhance their hair health and appearance.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and management to create a positive and productive work environment.
  • Meet or exceed productivity and sales targets, contributing to the salon's growth and success.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to salon standards and protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest hair styling trends, techniques, and products, attending training sessions and workshops as required.
  • Collaborate with other salon professionals to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as processing payments, managing inventory, and maintaining client records.


Requirements

  • Valid Cosmetology, Natural Hair, or Barber's License in the state of employment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong knowledge of hair styling techniques, products, and trends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.


Working Conditions

  • Work in a salon environment, exposed to chemicals, fragrances, and loud noises.
  • Stand for long periods, walk, and move frequently, with occasional climbing of ladders or step stools.
  • Use manual dexterity to perform hair styling tasks, including cutting, coloring, and styling.
  • Work in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve business goals.
