Job Title: Recovery Coach

We are seeking a skilled Recovery Coach to join our Recovery Support Services team at North Suffolk Community Services Inc.

Job Summary:

The Recovery Coach will provide educational supports and recovery coaching to individuals in the Cambridge Health Alliance ED (Everett and Cambridge) and promote a culture of recovery-oriented care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coach individuals in recovery-oriented skills, activities of daily living, socialization, and community integration.
  • Assist the Emergency Department, Med Surge, and Inpatient teams with brief interventions to engage individuals presenting for treatment.
  • Communicate and assist the hospital team to develop a recommendation for appropriate level of care and advocate for patients.
  • Implement, teach, assist, and/or coach individuals with their individual action plan or wellness plan to review goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate and support access to treatment and/or recovery-oriented systems of care and provide linkages to community resources.
  • Participate in upkeep and maintenance of program, including completing all documentation in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a field other than behavioral sciences or high school degree/GED.
  • Experience: Work experience with adults diagnosed with substance use and/or dependency, with lived experience and knowledge regarding addiction treatment service systems, recovery coaching, and related human services.
  • Knowledge: Two years acknowledged continuous sobriety and CARC certification.
