Electrical Meter Technician

Portland General Electric is seeking a skilled Electrical Meter Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Meter Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining all types of electrical meters. You will also perform meter shop activities, including operating test equipment and refurbishing meters. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the meter stock and performing distribution testing as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, test, and maintain all types of electrical meters
Perform meter shop activities, including operating test equipment and refurbishing meters
Maintain the meter stock
Perform distribution testing as needed
Meet with customers and discuss meter accuracy and energy usage information
Requirements:
Journeyman meterman card required
Valid driving medical card
Driver's license required
Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA required
Ability to work safely and efficiently
Ability to get along well with customers and the general public
