Job Overview

Position Summary: The Offshore Field Service Technician Lead is responsible for overseeing field service operations while also training and managing a team of technicians. This role includes assisting the Service Manager in scheduling and executing maintenance and troubleshooting tasks. The Lead Technician is recognized as a technical authority capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:
- Supervise and guide the activities of assigned technicians.
- Assist in evaluating team performance and skill development.
- Step in for the Service Manager when necessary.

Technical Expertise:
- Exhibit advanced diagnostic and repair capabilities across various equipment types, including compressor systems and power generation machinery.
- Conduct Preventative Maintenance (PM) independently and lead Major Maintenance (MM) and Overhaul projects with limited assistance.
- Perform calculations related to compressor operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in using various software tools and programs relevant to the role.
- Commitment to adhering to health, safety, and environmental protocols.

Educational Background:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Preferred training in gas or diesel engines and compressors.

Experience Requirements:

Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 8 years in a related field is typically required.
- Experience with both large and small horsepower equipment is preferred.
